When football lost it's innocence

Recently a mate’s son and I talked about football and I told the story about the then great German player Ewald Lienen who in 1981 got brutally attacked on purpose when the coach for the opponent team couldn’t see any other way to stop him. I promised him that I would show him a rather famous picture from that situation …. mission accomplished.
